Fatou es natural de Gambia, llegó a España en 2001 y desde el 2012 se encuentra residiendo en Soria junto con sus 4 hijos, de los cuales se hace cargo íntegramente.

En 2014 tuvo su primer contacto con Fundación Cepaim Soria y a lo largo de su trayectoria ha realizado varios cursos de cocina y limpieza, participando de forma activa en las actividades e itinerarios planteados desde la entidad.

Fruto de su esfuerzo y ganas de seguir adelante y gracias a una oferta gestionada por Fundación Cepaim, Fatou se encuentra trabajando como ayudante de cocina  en un Hotel de un pueblo cercano a Soria, al que se acerca todos los días con su moto. Fatou es un verdadero ejemplo de superación y de cómo poco a poco ha sido capaz de tomar las riendas de su vida y volver a ser feliz.
